Behind the scenes of an event, agency contractors sometimes jokingly figure out who is more important. Who makes the event bright, special and unique – the sound and light rental company, musicians or the event host? Such disputes end in “friendship”. Not only because all participants in the process of organizing and holding the event contribute to the overall success, but because the person who makes the event unique is not present at the event itself. We are talking about a graphic designer.
The designer is the first to convey the idea and the reason for the event to the participants. Business conferences, New Year’s corporate parties and summer team building events find their soul, become exceptional in a series of identical ones thanks to emotional graphic solutions.
In order not to forget anything during the organization and holding of the event, let’s systematize the knowledge about event design and get five conventional groups: design for electronic media, printing design, object design, set design and video content design.
Design for electronic media
- Creation of invitation card layouts for any event: New Year’s corporate events, corporate holidays, business forums, partner conferences, presentations, corporate championships, summer team building, etc;
- Website or landing page design for business events, exhibitions, and business forums;
- Design of mobile applications for conferences;
- Development of the currently popular augmented and virtual reality (VR).
Printing design
- Creation of classic paper media: invitations with envelopes, booklets and brochures, badges and business cards;
- Design of individual printed versions of gala dinner menus, as well as personalized table plates;
- Development of posters and poster layouts. For example, for a corporate New Year’s concert, a professional holiday or an open business forum;
- Certificates, diplomas, certificates of merit and other awards for participants of both internal corporate events and external marketing events;
- Design of itineraries, forms, pennants for corporate team building events in nature or in the office;
- Important “little things” that we always remember: the logo on the tablet of the event host, signs on the windshield of the tour bus and in the hands of the person meeting the guests.
Product design
- Development of branding layouts for souvenirs, corporate gifts and packaging, taking into account all technical parameters (dimensions, material, application technology);
- Creation of unique items, such as exclusive art objects, badges, key chains;
- Layouts for applying images to textiles (promotional clothing, tablecloths, towels, etc.). Branded textiles in Kyiv are often used at business events or exhibition stands.
Set design
- Development of stage design and structures in the hall;
- Design of layouts of press tables, photo zones and additional elements, for example, “money” with quotes;
- Navigation layouts: arrows, rubrics, seating charts, table numbering;
- Creation of combined phyto-compositions using conceptual objects, such as construction helmets, books, carnival masks, etc;
- Aerial design, including the development of layouts for applying images to balls;
- Tournament tables and advertising banners on sports grounds.
